Austin, Texas— Noche de Luna is a benefit for the non-profit arts organization Latinas Unidas Unidas Por El Arte (LUPE Arte). This amazing night will pay tribute to the LUPE Arte students, the artists who have worked with our students, the artists that we have supported through our organization; but most of all, it will serve to celebrate many more years of service to our community. Please join us for a wonderful, moonlit affair filled with prizes, music, art, and dance.

The evening initiates with a very special art market and food for our VIP guests as well as exclusive performances by some of Austin’s most melodic songbirds anchored by Cari Hutson. This also includes the Austin premiere of the short documentary produced by the LUPE Arte Multi Media program entitled “Zavala Girls” which premiered at the National Association of Latino Independent Producers in Newport Beach, California. Music made by the students of our Beatlab program will also be showcased and if that were not enough, our VIP guests are also privy to the live art auction by central Texas artisans and live T-Shirt screen-printing. At 9 p.m., we open the doors for a dance party featuring music spun by Austin’s hottest DJs and special guests including members of The Peligrosa All Stars and DJ Chorizo Funk.

Latinas Unidas Por El Arte (LUPE Arte) is dedicated to the promotion of the arts and culture providing arts education to at-risk youth while fostering emerging and professional artists providing them with employment opportunities. LUPE Arte has been providing its services in Austin since 1999 when the organization was formed. In March of 2001, LUPE Arte received its 501c3 license and has strengthened its collaboration with the Austin Independent School District, business partners, and community leaders to provide positive after school and community programming to at-risk urban youth while fostering the work of artists especially women artists.
